Missing IDs/invalid UUIDs
- First, make sure you are uploading the correct file.
- To upload your Payroll CSV file, make sure to use the Payroll CSV Template and upload Payroll CSV. If you’re seeing an ID error, you are likely using the Edit in Excel flow, which has a different template.
- The Edit in Excel upload uses the Edit in Excel Template.

Row specific errors are often either missing or invalid values in the cell. Follow the guidance for each row to resolve the error.

If multiple rows are missing the same value, it’s likely that a required column is missing. In this case, the “Name” column is missing.

Non-specific errors can result from several reasons, here are the most common:

- Columns such as “Amount”, “Hire Date”, “Termination Date”, etc. require a numerical input. Some cells may have letters or symbols when the cell is expecting numerical inputs.
- If any cell in the “Non-Project Time” column is over 100% → Make sure that no cell under “Non-Project Time” is over 100%.
- Date format for columns such as hire date and termination date are wrong → The correct format should be YYYY-MM-DD.
